:: CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN On 21 November 1998, The Ministry of Trade issued a Decree (619/1998) which stated that all imported products (durable and non-durable) must be sourced directly from the country of origin. Imported goods had to be accompanied by a Certificate of Origin legalized by the Egyptian Mission to that country. A year later, the new Minister of Economy & Foreign Trade amended the previous decree and allowing imports to be shipped from the country of origin or the main centers, branches or distribution centers of the producing company.
